I am Burak Karakuş.
I like creating where technology, design, entrepreneurship and literature intersect. I do not define myself through one profession, title or field of expertise. The form of my work changes, but its starting point is usually the same: turning an idea born in the mind into something real and meaningful.
I have lived alongside technology for many years. I build systems, develop digital projects and look for practical answers to complex problems. A project working technically is not enough for me; the finished work should have a thought, a language and a character of its own.
That is why I do not separate code from design, or design from human experience. A system can work perfectly and remain soulless. A design can look beautiful and say nothing. I want to make work where function and aesthetics, reason and emotion, technology and people complete one another.
I have a close relationship with detail. I notice a misplaced word, a line shifted by a few pixels or a small inconsistency in a story. The value of a work comes not only from its large ideas, but from the precise decisions that keep those ideas standing.
I do not easily settle for ‘good enough’. If the result falls short of the original idea, I rethink it, take it apart and begin again when necessary. I see that not as failure, but as honesty toward the work and my own potential.
Alongside technology, I write. My published novel Lâl is one of the first large traces of the world I built with words. Mavi, the novel I am working on, is a wider journey through loss, silence, memory and the darkness within us.
Literature is not only storytelling for me. It is a way of trying to understand the self, the past and the things left unsaid. I am interested not only in what happens inside a story, but in what those events leave behind in a person.
I also develop new ventures, digital products and independent projects. I enjoy taking an idea beyond conversation—designing it, building it, improving it and turning it into something alive.
I do not consider myself complete. Every project teaches me something new, and every lesson makes the limits of what I do not know more visible. I will keep questioning, staying curious and connecting different fields.
Success, for me, is not only visibility or having more. It is leaving behind work that is thoughtful, cared for and marked by its maker.
With a line of code, a design, a venture or a sentence… I am not interested in merely producing things. I want to build work with meaning, character and a reason to be remembered.
